Summer Sewing Days for Kids and Teenagers

With the summer holidays just around the corner, we would like to announce our fun and creative summer activities for children and teenagers aged 8 to 16! Our Summer Sewing Days promise four mornings of fun and skill development, from 9am to 12pm.

Here's an overview of what we'll be doing:

Monday: Introduction to the sewing machine and Cushion Making

We start our summer sewing days with an introduction to the sewing machine. Participants will learn how to work the machine safely and efficiently while creating a beautiful pillow.

Tuesday: Finish Pillows and Start Quilting

If Monday's pillow isn't quite ready yet, we will use this morning to finish it. Then we dive into the world of quilting! We will select nice fabrics and start sewing pieces of fabric on a surface to create a beautiful quilt.

Wednesday: Embroidery an Ice Cream and Decorate a Garment

On Wednesday we take our creative process a step further by embroidering an ice cream cone. We can then sew this little work of art onto a piece of clothing (that you bring yourself), allowing us to show off our own unique style!

Thursday: From Quilt to Pencil Case or Bag

On our last day we will transform the piece of fabric we made while quilting into a practical accessory. Participants can choose to make a pencil case or a small bag, where they can put their newly learned skills into practice.

We are really looking forward to sewing, learning and creating together during these summer days full of fun and creativity!

You can choose from the following dates:

Week 28: Monday July 8 to Thursday July 11
