We are excited to welcome children aged 8 and up to our fantastic sewing course this summer! Together we will spend four mornings making a placemat, pillow and cuddly toy. We guide the children step by step and provide all the necessary materials. We also provide drinks and something tasty, so they can stay full of energy!
Our 4-day course offers not only fun, but also valuable learning moments. Children will develop essential skills such as learning basic sewing techniques and working with fabrics. Their creativity will be fully expressed and they will be proud of their handmade creations.

Keychain decorating workshop
For the children of the BSO Korein, Textielkeuken organized a fun workshop 'decorating a key ring' during the carnival holidays 2023 by having the children weave.

Punching is a fun embroidery technique with which you poke thread into a cloth with a punch needle and then pull the needle back into the cloth.

Fashion show Sunday June 23, 2019
To end the season, Textielkeuken organized its second fashion show on Sunday, June 23, together with the children from the sewing classes. The parents, grandfathers, grandmothers, friends of the creatives were all invited to admire the beautiful creations on the catwalk. It was a very nice and warm day.

Crafts with De Bijenkorf primary school July 2019
The theme of the last week of school was Circus. The Textielkeuken studio was completely transformed into a true craft paradise for all middle and upper school students. Tails, clown collars, masks and rabbits have been made.
In the Sewing lessons teach children more than you might initially think. It Working with your hands, practicing patience and producing something useful are very nice learning moments in a child's life that will also be useful to you later as a great person or artist. Eindhoven Library is organizing the Tech & Play Festival in the Beursgebouw for the second time. With workshops, games, experiments and plenty of technical innovations for kids aged 4 - 12.

During the first week of the summer holidays, Textielkeuken organizes a 'cuddly toy making' workshop.
You are going to make a cuddly toy, monster or your favorite animal from leftover fabric. First you draw a design on paper, then you select the fabrics, straps and buttons and then you start working with a needle and thread. After your creation has been sufficiently decorated, we will sew your cuddly toy, monster or favorite animal together with the sewing machine.

SKIRT MAKING WORKSHOP DURING THE MAY HOLIDAYS!
You are going to make a skirt with the sewing machine. You can choose one fabric, for example a nice print, but you can also combine several fabrics. You can also pimp the skirt with straps, lace and other decorations.
