Terms and Conditions


Article 1: Registration
Registration is done by completely completing and signing the registration form. For a minor participant, the registration form must be signed by his or her parent or guardian.

Article 2: Costs & Payment
1.The amount of the tuition fees is stated for each course. Published prices are always subject to change. The tuition fee must be paid before the 5th of the month in question. This only applies to the children's and teen courses.
2. If payment is not received on time, Textielkeuken reserves the right to refuse participation until the full course costs have been paid. In the event of late payment, Textielkeuken is at all times entitled to admit another participant as a replacement. If this is the case, the participant's right of access expires.
3. Textile Kitchen uses eight lessons per part in the beginners course. Textielkeuken uses a fixed monthly amount for follow-up lessons. Holidays are taken into account in the monthly amount, there are no lessons during school holidays.
4. The adult course is paid in advance via the Textielkeuken webshop. The student can then register online on the "Sewing lessons agenda for adults". After registration, he/she can participate in the booked course. The student can also cancel online up to 24 hours before the start of the course. If he/she cancels within 24 hours before the start of the booked course, the student is no longer entitled to a refund.

Article 3: Change & Cancellation by Textielkeuken
1. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, Textielkeuken has the option to interrupt, move and/or cancel the course/workshop/creative party at any time. Unforeseen circumstances as referred to in this paragraph include insufficient registrations for a course/workshop, illness of a teacher and circumstances that arise with regard to persons and/or materials that are necessary for proper implementation by Textielkeuken.
2. Textielkeuken reserves the right to make changes to the dates and location of the courses/workshops/creative party. Participant will be informed of this as soon as possible. The participant then has the right to cancel the course/workshop/creative party free of charge. In that case, the amount already paid by the participant for the course/workshop/creative party will be refunded to the participant by Textielkeuken within 14 days.

Article 4: Cancellation & Termination by participant
1. In the event of (interim) cancellation of the course, the participant is not entitled to a (partial) refund of the course costs. In special cases (unforeseen circumstances solely at the discretion of Textielkeuken) it is possible to take the course at another time in consultation.
2. If, for whatever reason, the participant no longer wishes to participate in the course, the participant has one month's notice period starting from the next new month after cancellation.
3. The cancellation must be made in writing or by e-mail. Without notice of cancellation by email, the monthly tuition fee will continue as normal.
4. If you cancel up to two weeks in advance, you owe 20% of the tuition fee. If you cancel up to one week in advance, you owe 50% of the tuition fee. After that, refunds are no longer possible. Illness and absenteeism do not entitle you to a partial or full refund.

Article 5: Liability
1. Textielkeuken is not liable for loss, theft or damage to personal property or materials brought by participants during the courses.
2. Textielkeuken is not liable for any direct or indirect damage to the participant arising from any cause during and after the lessons.
3. The participant must treat the loan of the sewing machines with respect. In case of careless use, Textielkeuken may refuse the participant. The use of the overlock machines is at your own risk. If the creation that the participant is making breaks, Textielkeuken is not liable for the damage caused by the participant.
4. Textielkeuken provides its course and advice to the best of its knowledge. Textielkeuken accepts no liability for any adverse consequences that may arise as a result, except for its responsibility towards the law.

Article 6: Catching up on missed lessons
1. If the participant is unable to attend the course, the participant can catch up on the lesson on another day provided there is still a place available.
2. Participant can only catch up on a lesson as a participant at least 24 hours unsubscribe in advance.
3. If the participant wants to catch up on a lesson, he/she will inquire whether a place is available.
4. Catching up on a missed lesson must be done within one month.
5. After the course has ended, any catch-up lessons will be cancelled.
6. Textielkeuken always tries to offer a catch-up opportunity for missed lessons, but unfortunately Textielkeuken cannot guarantee that this will work.

Article 7: Confidentiality
All information is treated completely confidentially.

Article 8: Complaints procedure
Textielkeuken will process and respond to submitted complaints as soon as possible, but in any case within a period of 14 days from the date of receipt. If a complaint requires a foreseeably longer processing time, Textielkeuken will respond within 14 days with a notice of receipt of an indication when the participant can expect a more detailed answer.
