Introduce

Hi, my name is Jolanda. I am the owner of the Textielkeuken.

As a little girl I knew that when I grew up, I would do something with creativity. Of course, I didn't know yet in what form, I already loved drawing and needlework. Later I discovered my mother's sewing machine, on which I made the craziest imaginative creations.

After high school, I followed the MDGO fashion/clothing study at Drakesteijn in Weert. I then obtained the title of costumière at the fashion school in Haarlem.
Since I wanted to delve deeper into the field, I then followed a two-year fashion course in Belgium at the Royal Technical Athenaeum in Diest. This study consisted of styling, modeling, pattern drawing and Cad-Cam confection.

"I get excited when I see that children enjoy textile work."

My love for design then brought me to Bijenkorf, where I worked as a shop manager in Eindhoven for ten years. This was a fun experience, but I was looking for a new way to express my creativity. So I decided to study to become a teaching assistant. During this study I learned how to deal with students and I also had the opportunity to do a one-year internship at Summa Fashion in Eindhoven.
I successfully completed this study and obtained my diploma.
